10 WordPress Business Website Themes

I've been an enthusiastic user of Thrive Themes and Plugins for over two years and wouldn't be without them.

They are the first, and usually the only set of business themes and plugins I install on a new WordPress site.

The 10 WordPress business website themes that you have access to as soon as you install Thrive are the best conversion optimized WordPress themes available.

This article will take a quick look at each of them.

Minimal in design, but packed with features: this is the multi-purpose theme for your next project

This minimal design makes the theme highly adaptable to almost any purpose and any brand (especially when you start using Thrive's theme customization options).

Squared WordPress Business Website Theme

Squared is a theme that makes attention-grabbing design choices without losing sight of the business factor. Too many themes try too hard to be especially fancy or "different" looking and end up losing out on usability. With Squared, you can give your site a striking and unforgettable look, but all the conversion best-practices are still in place.

Like all our themes, Squared comes equipped with everything you need to create a stunning blog, build your mailing list with targeted opt-in forms, create high-converting landing pages, sales pages, boost social sharing and followers and more.

In addition, the post author is prominently displayed next to the content, making it ideal for personal branding (works for single author and multi-author sites). Alternatively, you can remove the author-focus and just display a logo instead.

The sidebar in this theme is kept narrow, to give more room to your content. It is also partially static and partially scrolling, so that you can keep your most important links instantly available, while adding lots of additional content, related content or other widgets in the scrolling section.

The result is a theme that is highly usable and easy to navigate for your visitors, makes your content shine and still comes with all the conversion focused features you're used to from Thrive Themes.

7. The Performag WordPress Business Website Theme

A theme built from the ground up to increase the revenue of magazine and news websites.

Performag WordPress Business Website Theme

The First True Magazine Theme for WordPress.

There are many so-called magazine and news themes available for WordPress, but all they do is give your site a certain look. Performag goes much further than that. It's not about looks, it's about the machinery inside this theme. Performag is built from the ground up to increase ad revenue, increase social sharing and increase user engagement on your site. In short: it's streamlined for the business purposes of a magazine website.

From the built in ad manager to the magazine layouts and infinite scrolling on blog pages and related posts to features designed to boost social sharing, everything serves the purpose of making your site more profitable.

If you run a news website or any other form of site monetized with ads, Performag will help you make more money. It's as simple as that.

Performag Color Styles

In addition, you can set custom colors for different categories, to highlight them throughout your site. In the theme customizer, you can also apply custom backgrounds and custom colors to various theme elements, so that there are almost no limits to the ways in which you can personalize your site.

8. The PRESSIVE WordPress Business Website Theme

Meet Pressive, an impressive and functional design, streamlined to help you grow your business

Pressive WordPress Business Website Theme

The Perfect Design Balance for Your Site.

If your site's design is too flashy, it will be impressive but it will also distract from your content. If your design is too generic and too "comfortable", it won't distract your visitors but it also won't be memorable.

Pressive strikes the perfect balance between the two. You get a theme with a distinct character, but the focus is still where it needs to be: on your content, your offers, your conversion elements.

Whether you want to build a fully featured marketing website, a collection of brilliant sales pages or just a conversion focused blog, Pressive has you covered.

Pressive could just be the theme that changes the way you think about WordPress themes.

Pressive Color Styles

Switch Theme, Short Code & Widget Colors.

With just a click, you can switch between 6 major color schemes for Pressive, each one giving the site a different and distinctive look. You can also choose between different colors for many of the widgets, Focus Areas and dozens of short codes available in the theme.

9. The Storied WordPress Business Website Theme

A WordPress theme specialized for blogging. Your very own conversion focused blog awaits...

Storied WordPress Business Website Theme

Tell Your Story, Grow Your Business.

Storied is a theme that was primarily built for blogging. You have a story to tell and through beautifully formatted multi-media posts (video, audio, image and other media posts are supported), you connect with your readers and build your audience.

But of course, no theme is a Thrive Theme without a strong and clear conversion focus as well. Use stylish Focus Areas to grow your mailing list, add call to action buttons and other conversion elements to your posts and create stunning landing pages, sales pages, pricing tables and more. The perfect blog is one that creates a strong backbone for your business and that's exactly what Storied can do for you.

If your business revolves around blogging and story-telling, this is the theme you've been waiting for.

Storied Color Styles

Switch Colors & Visual Styles With Ease.

As with all Thrive themes, Storied is available in multiple color settings and you can switch colors of all short code elements you use to build your pages. But customization goes further than that...

Whether you want a website that dazzles and captivates with strong colors and imagery (left) or a minimal blog that's all about the written word (right) - the site you need is just a few clicks away.

10. The Rise WordPress Business Website Theme

An elegant and effective theme for blogging, affiliate marketing and other online businesses

Rise WordPress Business Website Theme

Built in Collaboration with an Affiliate Marketing Veteran.

The origin of the Rise theme was a simple question: "what does the ideal blogging theme look like?"

The key to what makes Rise tick lies in whom Thrive asked this question of... Zac Johnson has been a successful affiliate marketer for longer than most of us have even known the Internet existed. Together with him, Thrive came up with the concept for Rise and kept refining it until the theme beat everything else available by miles, for this specific purpose.

If you run a blog and make money through affiliate marketing and selling your own products, Rise may just be the theme you've been waiting for...

Rise Color Styles

Flexible Color Options for the Theme, Widgets, Shortcodes and More.

With just a click, you can switch between five color schemes for Rise, each one giving the site a different and distinctive look. You can also choose between different colors for many of the widgets, Focus Areas and dozens of short codes available in the theme.

About the author

Phil Lancaster

I created this site with two things in mind.

One is to expose some of the many scams that abound in Internet Marketing. And also to review those that, strictly speaking, aren't scams, but over promise and under deliver. Many of these are directed at beginners, who have no chance of implementing the system that they are sold.

The other aim is to review and recommend products that I believe will be helpful to either the new or experienced internet marketer and to provide additional information that may spell the difference between failure and success.

  • This is a great, insightful article and I must commend you for putting  it up.

I was amazed to see so much detail, along with illustrations, for all 10 Thrive themes. So much in fact that I couldn’t get through it all and so have bookmarked this article so that I can come baclk and read it all another time.

As a Thrive Themes user, like you I’ve used Luxe on my website. I was tempted by FocusBlog but have never really looked at the others.

When I come back to this article, I’m gonna go through all of them, because your descriptions have made me realize that one of the others might be a better fit for me.

Maybe I’ll try them all and let you know how I go.

    • I appreciate your comments. Yes I thought that if I was going to list all 10 Thrive themes, I should show what they looked like and say enough about each one that a potential reader could understand what was special. And to a certain extent, how they were different from each other.

      I hope I achieved that.

There’s no doubt that I actually learned a lot from writing the article.

  • This is a really interesting article.

The detailed information and illustrations for each of the 10 themes was great. Do they have the facility to create landing pages or just a home page?

It would be great to be able to create landing pages as well as a home page and blog articles.

All the themes look good and unique. I think I would want to try them all before making a decision about which one to use.

I will like to ask that all these themes are they really free or one has to pay to get them? Thank you for taking the time out to share this post. Good job.

  • There is tons of good information that is well detailed and will be of good help to your readers.

Most especially to me because I’m new to the world of being an online business entreprenuer.

I am glad I read this. It’s good to know about these 10 WordPress Business Website Themes and the different ways that they can be used.

I like the fact that  it will be helpful for both the new and experienced internet marketers.

    Thank you for sharing!

  • Although there are over 1000 free different word press themes out there, in my experience you need to pay for a premium theme if you are serious about creating a genuine business website. Some free themes just look awful and some look ok but have problems interfacing with plugins and can even break your site if they haven’t been updated to work with the latest version of WordPress!

Thanks for sharing this particular blog post revealing these 10 beautiful business website themes.

This is an awesome information, not only awesome but also useful. I so much love the way all of those themes look, they are so unique.

Do you mean one had to download the thrive first before one can get access to those themes?

    • I totally agree with you, Michael, about the free themes. It’s false economy. You are building a business, your theme governs how that business is presented to the world.

If you want to project a professional image, you need a professional theme.

How it works with Thrive is this:

You purchase Thrive Themes HERE with a subscription. It’s billed annually, but works out to $19 a month.

For that, you get access to all the themes, all the plugins, updates as they occur and Thrive University, an incredible training resource.

  • Nice to hear from you and glad you liked the themes. Interestingly, Luxe is my personal favorite and the one I’ve used on most of my websites.

The Thrive plugins are amazing. I would hate to not have Thrive Architect as my WordPress editor.

    To answer your questions:

    1. Yes, Thrive charge a yearly membership that works out to just $19 a month. That includes all of the themes and plugins and frequent updates. You also get access to Thrive University, which has training on all of the Thrive products and how they can be applied to your internet marketing needs.

    2. As all Thrive Themes and Plugins have been built with smooth integration in mind, you can easily swap between themes.

  • Hi Phil! Thank you very much for this post. I have read a couple of reviews about Thrive themes. And have thought how cool it would be to sign up with them. But I really have lost focus afterwards. Something urgent would arise and detour my resolution.

But it has been reading your post and taking a closer look to these themes that I have definitely made up my mind. In particular, The Rise WordPress Business Website Theme has caught my attention. I have been following Zac Johnson’s recommendations and must say he delivers useful stuff. But this theme he built with Thrive themes is simply awesome!

    • Thanks for your input, Henry.

As I said in my reply to the previous comment, I use Luxe for most of my websites (including this one).

But I was really interested in what you said about Zac Johnson and his involvement in the development of Rise.

As a result of your comment, I’m going to use Rise on my next website development. Get out of my Luxe comfort zone!

Did you follow the link through to https://thescamwarrior.com/thrive-themes-and-plugins/ which is directed more to the plugins you get with a Thrive membership?

It’s worth a read. Some of those plugins, particularly Thrive Architect and Thrive Apprentice are simply awesome.

  • This is great.  I’ve been thinking that my website needs a facelift and a new, attractive looking theme could be just what the doctor ordered.

Your article has given me lots of ideas about where I want to take it.

It’s so great that you put the views and describe the target audience because I was able to visually see what I like but also decide after reading if that made sense for my site. I’m already imagining how my existing published stuff might look with one of these themes. Really like the look of the first one, FocusBlog. Had a quick look at the plugins too. Wow, there’s some power there. I’d really like to put an exit intent popup on my site. Is that easily done with the Thrive plugins?

Thanks for giving me direction on where I want to go with the future of my website.

    • I’m glad that this article may have helped you visualize where you want to take your site to.

And yes, the plugins are very powerful. I’ve got another article that looks at them briefly at Thrive Themes and Plugins.

One of the plugins (Thrive Opt-In) allows you to create an opt-in and trigger it in various ways, including exit intent.

  • Thank you for your review of these 10 WordPress business websites.

They all look like amazing themes to use to attract your reader’s attention to what you are selling.

Thanks to your review I now have a way to make my website beautiful and stand out from the crowd.

I’d like to go get these themes right away. Where do I get them from and are they free or do I need to pay for them?

    Thank you.

    • Good to hear from you, Geoffrey.

You get all 10 of the WordPress business themes that I looked at in this article when you become a member of Thrive Themes. You also get 10 amazing WordPress plugins. I’ve got another article that looks at them briefly at Thrive Themes and Plugins

The membership cost is based on $19 a month, but billed annually for a yearly payment of $228.

You can find out more about Thrive Themes HERE.

  • Wow, thanks for the review of these themes. I’ve only used a couple of WordPress themes because I’m pretty new to WordPress and get nervous about trying different types. Your review makes me know what to expect from the ones you talked about and if they would work for any of my sites.

I especially like the Performag theme. It looks like a really good one for the type of business website I am planning to build.

The Rise theme also looks very nice for what I am planning. Do you know if these are “free” themes? Do they require an upgrade? Thanks again. I look forward to trying these out!

    • Thanks, Karin. Yes, they are a great set of good looking WordPress business themes.

You get them all with a Thrive Themes membership, along with a set of powerful WordPress plugins that make otherwise difficult tasks easy.

Thrive Themes membership is based on a cost of $19 a month, but billed annually, so that your once a year cost is $228. For that price, I think they’re a bargain. I wouldn’t be without them.

You can find out more about Thrive Themes HERE.

  • Choosing a theme for a website simple as it might seem can be a rather difficult task for a lot of people. I have owned my blog for about 5 months and I have not still been able to find that perfect theme. I think the problem most of us face is with free themes because they just don’t give us that freedom to easily customize the theme to our taste. It is like it is free but our hands are been tied.

I make use of the free version of hestia theme but I am not able to customize it to my taste. I guess I might be able to if I am to go premium. From this review, I like the look of the first two themes and I would like to know if they are free or paid themes and also if free is there a lot of freedom to customize?

    • The 10 Thrive Themes, along with the 10 Thrive Plugins, come with a Thrive Themes membership. The price is based on $19 a month, but billed annually at $228, with a 30 day money back guarantee.

You have total freedom to customize.

  • Some lovely and professional looking website themes that you have given examples of here. Are these themes easy to use? I have bought premium themes in the past only to find I couldn’t work out how to use half the functions.

I have a hobby site and I really like the look of the Performag Theme and am thinking of trying it out, as it looks a lot better than the free theme that I am using currently. I think my website definitely needs an update but haven’t managed to find just the right look for it yet, but Performag might just be the one.

Also, I see Thrive offers a list building template. Does this include an autoresponder, or would you need another outside autoresponder for it to work?

    • I’ve always found them easy to use and easy to customize to do exactly what they want.

I’ve even written some user guides that explain in step by step form.

Thrive opt-ins and connection to autoresponders is dead simple. I use MailChimp, which is free up to 2,000 list members.

You just copy and paste an id from the autoresponder to the theme options and that’s it, you’re connected.

Then, any time you want to create an opt-in, from a simple on-screen form to an exit intent pop-up, you just select the list you want to use and the fields you want to show.

It’s incredibly easy and amazingly powerful.

  • Yes, I believe that the 10 themes you get with a Thrive Themes membership are among the best WordPress themes available. They all look good and are extremely customizable. The set of 10 Thrive plugins are also outstanding and work seamlessly with the themes.
